He pointed out that the root cause of osteoarthritis is abnormal alignment.His book further stated that until abnormal alignment is accepted, prevention of the disease is not likely to happen. Severe cases of osteoarthritis of the hip are treated with surgery, more likely a hip replacement. The procedure has gained negative feedbacks from patients after they have experienced device-related complications. An ASR hip replacement recall was ordered by DePuy Orthopedics in response to the health concerns thrown at their ASR hip system.
